This new campsite in Rutledge, Georgia, consists of residential, operational, and programmatic facilities. A 100-acre expansion to the existing campus added 20 new camper cabins, a gym, dining hall, medical lodge, and many other amenities for its campers to enjoy.

L.B. Ahrens Recreation Center
The new L.B. Ahrens Recreation Center consists of a 36,500 SF recreation center with concrete masonry construction and a pre-engineered steel truss gym with CMU infill walls. Spaces include a 12,285 SF gymnasium, classrooms, offices and meeting rooms, locker rooms, an open seating lobby, a dance studio, a small catering kitchen, restrooms, and an outdoor patio space with applicable mechanical, plumbing, electrical and fire suppression systems, as well as IT/low voltage and audio/video systems. The scope also includes the development of a parking lot and an expansion of the park’s septic system.
Jim R Miller Exhibit Hall
Reeves Young was chosen by Cobb County to complete construction services for the Jim R Miller Exhibit Hall and related site work. This project included demolition of the existing A & B exhibit halls and replacement with a new exhibit hall. The new exhibit hall included a large open exhibit area with movable partitions to allow the space to be divided for smaller activities, office space for park staff, staff restrooms including a shower, office for event staff, a conference room shared between park staff and event staff, a concession area with exhaust hood and serving windows to allow concessions to be purchased inside and outside the building, public restrooms including family changing areas, and maintenance/storage areas.
